BARTONSVILLE, Pa., Sept. 27 /PRNewswire/ --, an online fine art auction house is now open for bidding in their December 7th auction. They are selling 40 new original Ivan Jenson paintings, of which many are large scale. All paintings will go to the highest bidder. Full-page ads announcing this event will be featured in the November issues of ArtNews and Art In America.

Jenson, a child prodigy, was called a "master sculptor" at the age of 10 by The Los Angeles Times. Residing in New York City during the 80's, Jenson's work was featured alongside paintings by his contemporaries Jean-Michel Basquiat, Keith Haring and Andy Warhol.

Ivan Jenson, a friend of the late Malcolm Forbes who once told Jenson, "you are better than Picasso." Jenson traveled numerous times on the Forbes Highlander Yacht to sketch portraits of some of the most powerful figures in corporate America. Mansion Art has footage from one of Jenson's trips on the Forbes Highlander Yacht on the Web site. Jenson later painted the last commissioned portrait of Malcolm Forbes.

Selected by Absolut Vodka for their Absolut artist series, Absolut Jenson ads ran internationally in art and lifestyle publications during the early 90's. In recent years, Jenson paintings have sold at other major auction houses Christie's and Butterfields.
