Freelancer.com appoints senior PayPal executive Greg Robinson as Vice President of Compliance

SYDNEY, Aug. 1, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Freelancer.com today announced Greg Robinson has been appointed Vice President of Compliance as the company rockets past 8.3 million users, 30 languages and 17 currencies.
Greg Robinson brings to the position decades of industry experience as a senior executive in charge of companywide compliance programs at a number of leading organisations. Greg's position will oversee the overall compliance environment within the Freelancer group of companies. Greg will be responsible for developing and maintaining a governance and compliance risk program which will support the rapidly expanding global operations of Freelancer.com.
For the last seven years, Greg held the position of Head of Compliance Programs at PayPal Australia and was part of the initial senior executive team responsible for launching PayPal into the country in 2005. At PayPal he was responsible for all aspects of the compliance function including design and implementation of compliance policy, procedure, monitoring, testing, reporting, training and projects.
Before joining PayPal, Greg was Head of Compliance at Colonial First State Investments Limited from 1988 to 2004, where he led the implementation and management of the company's compliance governance framework. Prior to this, Greg held senior positions at Perpetual Limited in trust services for more than 13 years.
