NEW YORK, June 26, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Thumb, Inc. and Ypulse, Inc. announced today at the 7th Annual Ypulse Millennial Mashup Conference that the two organizations have merged to revolutionize marketing research among those under the age of 35. With an expanded and highly talented team of research, strategy and technology experts, Ypulse will leverage Thumb's mobile social network and feedback platform to deliver consumer immediacy, faster and at higher resolution, helping youth-oriented marketers and communicators listen to, learn about and be inspired by youth.
Dan Kurani, founder of Thumb, will continue his visionary role as co-founder, board member and Chief Digital Officer of Ypulse Inc., with his co-founder, Michael Melli, who will continue as VP Engineering. According to Kurani, "The opportunity to leverage Ypulse's infrastructure and the deep relationships with leading marketers is perfect for this stage in Thumb's evolution. We're very excited to commercialize Thumb hand-in-hand with the talented team at Ypulse."
"We founded the company on the insight that social media could connect us with youth opinion, and mobile usage has since come to dominate the online behavior of Millennials (those born between 1982 and 2004)," stated Dan Coates, co-founder and president of Ypulse Inc. "Our goal is to work closely with Dan Kurani and his team to aggressively pivot toward mobile, enabling our clients to connect with young consumers at the 'feedback moment', wherever and whenever that may occur."
