BioTrackTHC Opens Denver Office and Expands Sales and Support Staff in Response to a Significant Growth in Interest in its Marijuana Seed-to-Sale Software System
Apr 18, 2013 (04:04 PM EDT)
FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla., April 18, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- BioTrackTHC, a division of Bio-Tech Medical Software, Inc., has opened an additional office in Denver, Colorado and has expanded its sales and support staff in response to a significant growth in interest in its flagship marijuana seed-to-sale software system during the first quarter of 2013.
"The quickest way to destroy a great idea is to grow too fast and develop a reputation for poor execution and service," said Steven Siegel, CEO of BioTrackTHC. "We have flown under the radar as the marijuana industry's best kept secret for the past three years – listening to our clients, perfecting our product, and building out an infrastructure to deliver on what we promise. We believe BioTrackTHC is the most robust, feature-rich, and secure seed-to-sale enterprise software system for every aspect of a marijuana business; and it is time for our secret to get out."
Mr. Siegel also stated that the company will be releasing BioTrackTHC version 4.20 – in celebration of the 4/20 weekend – while attending the 2013 Cannabis Cup in Denver, Colorado. The tracking, reporting, and compliance features of Version 4.20 encompass all current North American marijuana regulations, enabling all users to be fully compliant with their state and local laws. BioTrackTHC is currently in use in seven states, Washington D.C., and Canada.
"Version 4.20 responds to customer requests for features and changes to enhance the software – allowing cultivators, packagers, and dispensaries to automate many of the manual tasks in operating a marijuana business while strengthening their legal compliance," said Chief Technology Officer, TJ Ferraro. "Roughly 80% of the features found in BioTrackTHC were inspired by customer feedback, and we are so grateful for their input. Their involvement is one of the many reasons why after three years in the market, we have never once lost a customer to a competing system even while most of our customers switched to us from other systems."
In addition, during the first quarter 2013, MedBox, Inc. acquired a minority equity interest in Bio-Tech Medical Software, Inc. in exchange for a cash investment. Bio-Tech has also partnered with NewGate Capital Partners, LLC with respect to business development services.
