Bulldog Solutions' Client Named 2013 Killer Content Award Winner

AUSTIN, Texas, April 26, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Bulldog Solutions today announced that SunGard Availability Services was awarded winner for "best theme" at this year's second annual "Killer Content Awards: Honoring the World's Best B2B Content Marketing Programs." The Killer Content Awards are a venue for recognizing and honoring the world's finest B2B marketing organizations. The award was presented on Monday, April 22, at the Times Center in New York City during the 2013 B2B Content2Conversion Conference. The educational and networking event focused on helping B2B marketers develop, map, measure and optimize content marketing strategies.
SunGard's challenge was to generate awareness by creating content that would rise above the usual white noise in B2B marketing and get noticed immediately. At the same time, they wanted to demonstrate to IT professionals how they could benefit from the Cloud while fully protecting their data and applications. "Creating compelling content that raises a brand above the noise and connects with the target audience is critical to a successful B2B marketing plan," said Craig Tomlin, account director for Bulldog Solutions.
The SunGard marketing team engaged with Bulldog Solutions to create an infographic and E-book campaign that used two parallel themes—"How to Survive a Zombie Attack" and "How to Move to the Cloud" —to be launched around Halloween. The key sign of success would be the sharing and displaying of the infographic on influential third-party cloud-based sites.
The results of the Zombie campaign were extraordinary. The campaign launched just before Halloween and yielded more than triple the expected downloads, double the expected open and click-through rates, and was even featured prominently on the home pages of several influential niche cloud websites.
